The 2-day ELECTRICITY SUMMIT 2008 will be in conjuntion with the ELECTRICASIA 08 Expo & Forum at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre which will bring together a top level panel of both local and international speakers. This conference is hosted & organised by the Energy Commission, Malaysia and the Committee of the Energy Council of Malaysia (ECOM). ECOM is a multi-energy organization in Malaysia comprising individuals and organizations engaged in or associated with the energy sector in Malaysia
The inaugural Electricity Summit 2008 will address concerns over the recent and future development of the Malaysian electricity supply industry and consider the challenges facing the industry and explore some of the potential solutions. The Summit will consider the questions: What are the issues? What’s at stake? Where are we headed?
The objective is to create a platform for open dialogue with key partners and stakeholders from Government, industry players and consumers on key issues pertaining to the electricity supply industry and share the experiences of learned speakers from Malaysia and the region on these key issues.
The Conference will invaluable for all utilities, IPPs, regulators, government, consultants, technology providers, NGOs, financial institutions, fund managers, investment analyst and consumer groups who will benefit from becoming more familiar with key issues relating to the industry as well as reinforcing relationships & cooperation with other related communities at all levels
