Theme : " Setting and Managing New Directions for Electricity Supply "
The inaugural Electricity Summit 2008 will address concerns over the recent and future developments of the Malaysian electricity supply industry and consider the challenges facing the industry and explore some of the potential solutions. The Summit will consider the questions: What are the issues? What’s at stake? Where are we headed?

The objective is to create a platform for open dialogue with key partners and stakeholders from Government, industry players and consumers on key issues pertaining to the electricity supply industry and share the experiences of learned speakers from Malaysia and the region on these key issues.

The 2-day ELECTRICITY SUMMIT 2008 will be held in conjunction with the ELECTRIC ASIA 08 Expo & Forum at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre which will bring together a top level panel of both local and international speakers. This conference is hosted and organised by the Energy Commission and the Energy Council of Malaysia (ECOM). ECOM is a multi-energy organization in Malaysia comprising individuals and organizations engaged in or associated with the energy sector in Malaysia.
